Perfectly Optimistic

When you have a meal so amazing that your hunger is satisfied for the entire day, and that is exactly the experience I had this week at The Optimist. Forgive me for saying it so soon in this blog, but it was A-MAZ-ING! The burger melted in my mouth from the first bite. Maybe it is because they put frozen butter between the patties when they are on the grill?  They then top it off with grilled onions, white cheese and their special house sauce.  The fries were also good and when you paired them with the burger it was heaven in each bite. If I had to find one negative, I would say that the fries are a little too skinny for my personal taste, but they still taste great. They sprinkle Old Bay seasoning on top of the fries which gives them a mild spicy taste.

The overall experience at The Optimist was good as well. I went around 1 pm and the place was full, but not packed; service was great. When I was seated, and asked the server if the burger was as good as I had been told, it was like they were letting me in on the big secret and told me that they cooked the patties with butter between them. From my experience over the last two weeks, I can say it is true; Butter makes it better!

I want to correct something I mentioned in my last post, The Optimist burger was $13 for the burger, and the fries are an additional $6.50, so this is a $20 lunch. The Optimist burger is for sure a five Gold Burger, and if I had known it was this fabulous I would had gone sooner!
