The burger was GREAT!!! People say in the South “everything tastes
better with butter” and Big Al’s Butter Made Burgers proves
this is without question the truth. It is
not a place where you go and spend a couple hours eating and drinking.

This is
a simple restaurant where you go, you eat, and you leave. I ordered a double
cheese burger with a side of sweet potato fries, not because I was afraid of
having the same experience I had at Cypress Street Pint & Plate, but because I have been eating to many burgers lately. (At least the
sweet potatoes are a better carbohydrate than the regular fries.) I was not disappointed;
the fries were fantastic even though they were not hand cut. Instead of adding
salt to the fries, they sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top, and then they give
you a side of maple syrup for good measure. I know the combination sounds
funny, but the fries were not too sweet as they add just the right amount of
sugar and cinnamon. For the record, I did not use the maple syrup! Now, the
burger was FAN-TAS-TIC! The meat was moist as they grille it with butter, and
then they add Kraft American cheese and onions. And while sometimes I
enjoy burgers with added garnish, this burger is perfect without any added
vegetables on top. This burger totally melts
in you mouth. Without question Big Al’s Butter Made Burgers is a
great place to visit! The burger is completely worth it and it is definitely a “four
and a half Golden Burger”. It seems that Big Al’s might just be able to
give Holeman and Finch a run for
their money.
