Butter me up!

I thought I knew everything about hamburgers when I started this blog; however, since I have been looking for the best burger I have found so many different varieties. Just when I thought that having a burger with a donut dough bun was the last innovation, this week I found burgers that are grilled in butter with buttered toasted buns.  My selection this week will be Big Al’s Butter Made Burger, located at 2221 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA.   The history of the butter burger dates back to 1885 at the Seymour Fair in Wisconsin where a vendor sold meatballs between two slices of bread.  (If you are interested in the full story please click on the link.)  http://luckypeach.com/the-history-of-the-butter-burger/  The location for Al’s Butter Made Burger is interesting as it is almost immediately next door to Holeman and Finch, which the Atlanta Business Journal recently states has one of the best burgers in the United States.  Holeman and Finch, you might remember, has one of the most highly rated burgers in this blog.  Hopefully my experience at Big Al’s Butter Made Burgers will live up to the high standards of the neighborhood.
