A Top Secret Burger

I have to admit; this is probably my favorite burger in town.  Every time I visit One Eared Stag my anxiety level goes thru the roof when I request the burger.  I am scared to death that the waiter is going to tell me “we no longer serve burgers here sir, please read the menu.”  Fortunately, so far they always just answer “of course sir, how would you like for it to be cooked?”  When the burger finally arrives and as I bite into it, I can always taste the special way they prepare the meat.

At One Eared Stag the burger has a double patty, and they add 20% bacon to the meat and then grind it together.  They then garnish the burger with pickles, onions and American cheese.  And by now, everyone is aware that I believe the fries are equally important to the burger, and I have to admit that they serve mounds of fries and they are also some of the best I’ve found in town.  The burger at One Eared Stag is HEAVEN! Without question, this is a five Gold Burger place.

A Burger to Repeat

This week, I want to explore an Atlanta neighborhood that I haven’t previously visited in this blog, INMAN PARK. The trendy Inman Park district really took off with the dramatic increase in the television and film industry in Atlanta several years ago. The energy in this neighborhood continues to explode with the completion of the first segment of the Beltline right in the heart of the area. There are many new residential buildings, restaurants and local shops sprouting up everywhere and the neighborhood is bursting with activity. In addition to my love for hamburgers, I also love Italian food, and Bocca Lupo is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city, and it is located on Edgewood Avenue in the heart of Inman Park. But today I want to highlight One Eared Stag, as I believe it has one of the best burger and fries in Atlanta.

I have been to the One Eared Stag many times, and after all of the different hamburgers I’ve tried recently, I feel the need to eat this burger again, just to make sure I still think it is one of the best. One Eared Stag presents many dishes in a very southern way http://oneearedstag.com , but when it comes to their burger, they are very traditional. The interesting thing at the One Eared Stag is that you have to know to ask for the burger, as it is not even listed on their menu! I have to admit that it does make me feel a little special to order something off the menu, which is exactly what they intend. I cannot wait to visit One Eared Stag this week, and share my experience with you.

One Girl; Five Guys

My name is Daniela Rodriguez, and I am an international student in the Savannah College of Art and Design located in Atlanta, Georgia. My friend, Mateo, invited me to eat some burgers this week which was, honestly, a very pleasant surprise. Having been raised in a Caribbean island, burgers were never my first idea of a meal, for home cooked rice and beans was always a favorite. After moving to the United States, though, where I found myself struggling to cook and feed myself, I began to develop an interest in fast food. I became a fan of big, juicy burgers accompanied with delicious fries.

I finally went to visit Five Guys across the street, a small franchise known for its amazing, popular burgers. I was completely satisfied by my experience there. To begin with, the place itself is very attractive. It looks very old-style, like a diner almost, and it is very easy to accommodate. The service is incredibly fast and the employees are very friendly.

Their food, though, was the best part. Their burgers are incredibly big, which made for the perfect meal for a starving student. The meat was well cooked and the buns were pretty good, and, despite it being a big burger, the ingredients on the inside would not spill. Their fries were a little too much though, and a little spicy for my taste to be honest, but you cannot deny that they were amazing fries. Overall, the experience at Five Guys was very positive. The food, the service, and the environment were all in good shape, unlike me, who will continue to visit the place weekly. I will give it four Golden Burgers
